Location, where
the map runs out.

Bwendi turns a coordinate into operating context: the nearest hub, local anchors, administrative area, economic tier and a description in the local language.

For delivery, field and hospitality teams that cannot rely on addresses. Built and run by OSIH.

01 · The problem

Maps assume
an address.

Most location stacks expect a street address, a postcode and a business directory. Across much of Africa those are partial or missing, and global geocoders return points without the local relationships an operation needs.

02 · The build

One request.
Everything around the point.

Bwendi returns a typed hub, ranked commercial centres, anchors at three distances, an economic tier and a context string in the local language, ready for an AI prompt. Coverage is checked for each use case.

03 · The shape of it

Resolve. Map.
Decide.

Resolve turns coordinates into context. Map returns the hub, anchors, metro and administrative hierarchy in one call. Decide hands software and operations teams structured context for routing, matching, search, pricing and field decisions.

04 · Built on Bwendi

One layer,
several products.

Bwendi sits underneath other OSIH products. Equiterrain uses it to place parcels in their local market system. Hungry But Not Stupid uses its typed anchors to suggest the places a knowledgeable local would.
